ePMP 2000: Cambium Networks’ answer to interference
ePMP 2000 represents the next generation of Access Points that takes interference resistance to a new level with Hypure technology, which combines Intelligent Filtering and Smart Beamforming to deliver unprecedented performance.
New Intelligent Filtering technology improves both receive and transmit performance, and protects the network from off-channel interference by dynamically moving filtering around the channel. On the transmission side, Intelligent Filtering protects the RF environment by reducing off-channel transmission noise.
Smart Beamforming, on the other hand, reduces the effects of interference within the channel. The System recognizes the location of each Subscriber Module (SM) served and creates a narrow radius to the desired SM while the radio transmits on the uplink. This reduces the gain on the uplink for interference within the channel that is transmitting at a different azimuth angle from the SM, enabling unprecedented performance gains.
