Fluidmesh Networks Inc: outdoor wireless ethernet solutions

Fluidmesh Networks was founded in 2005 by a team of researchers and visionaries from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Politecnico di Milano. The goal was to reliably achieve fiber-like performance via unlicensed wireless spectrum, thus providing mission critical connectivity for video, voice and data.

Within a few years, this solution became the choice of customers who wanted to bring network connectivity without the inconvenience, time or expense of laying a wired connection. Proprietary FLUIDITY Technology

Fluidmesh’s innovative transmission protocol is called FLUIDITY. It is the only license-free track-side wireless solution that provides customers with an outstanding experience of fast Wi-Fi connectivity on trains.

Thanks to this technology, it is possible to have up to 500 Mbps bandwidth on a train traveling at up to 350 km/h, all without service interruption and with reduced investment to configure the ground network. This is possible because FLUIDITY can take advantage of the poles and infrastructure of existing GMS systems without interfering with them.

Fluidmesh Milan has worked for years with mass transit agencies, airports and seaports in several countries, helping them transmit data, video and voice from remote locations and moving vehicles. Now, thanks to FLUIDITY, it is indeed possible:
